Detroit City FC has revealed several upgrades and enhancements to Keyworth Stadium for the 2019 season, including several suites and renovations. After new turf was installed at the facility, the team announced that 12 new suites will be placed at field level for 2019 games at Keyworth Stadium.

To make the news even more unique, the suites are being constructed out of repurposed shipping containers and will be just 10 feet from the playing surface. Each suite will hold up to 16 people and be furnished with artwork, TV’s, and include team hospitality staff to service each suite with catering from matchday vendors like Slows BBQ, Royal Kabob, Srodek’s and Detroit City Clubhouse.

“Keyworth is a magical venue with its historic character and unrivaled atmosphere,” said Detroit City FC CEO Sean Mann. “With the addition of the suites, we’re not only adding new amenities to a one-of-a-kind experience, but also creating a revenue stream for the next chapter of the club and continued repairs to the existing stadium. We’d like to thank Hamtramck Public Schools for their continued support and partnership that has allowed us to continue to grow at Keyworth.”

The team is hoping to use money raised through the sale of these suites to help further improve the grandstands in the stadium as well as rebuilding the restrooms under the east grandstands. With the improvements and the new suites, the new seating capacity at the stadium is 7,933.

Additionally, this past week saw the announcement of the team’s partnership with Level One Bank to sponsor the Level One VIP Section. This seating section will feature unlimited food and drinks for fans, including on-field seating for just $50 per game.

“We are looking forward to another great season as a sponsor of Detroit City FC. As a local bank, we strive to create engaging and value-added experiences for our clients and community members, whether that be at one of our branches or at a Detroit City FC match,” said David C. Walker, Chief Financial Officer at Level One Bank. “The VIP section is an exciting new addition and we hope the fans enjoy it.”
“Detroit City FC is all about providing a great experience for the community at an unrivaled value,” added Mann. “We’re excited to continue and grow the relationship with Level One Bank and create a unique experience for our fans.”
