Founded in 2003, the Colorado Mammoth are celebrating their 15th season in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) this 2018/2019 season. They have made the playoffs in all but one of their years in existence. They captured the NLL championship in 2006 and won division titles in 2003, 2004, and 2007. It’s been a while since they’ve placed a banner on the rafters.
The Georgia Swarm has called the Infinite Energy Center its home hive since relocating from Minnesota in 2016. The Center is also home to the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL hockey league. The arena opened in 2003 and holds 13,000 in its hockey and lacrosse configuration.

After several months of rumors and much anticipation, the growing city of Halifax, Nova Scotia will be home to another professional sports franchise. The National Lacrosse League (NLL) recently announced the Rochester Knighthawks will relocate to the Maritime region commencing the 2019-2020 season. “Known as a great events city with a passionate, loyal, and hungry fan base for major league sports, Halifax proved to be an ideal location for our league’s expansion in Canada,” explained NLL Commissioner Nick Sakiewicz.
In press conferences today, the National Lacrosse League announced that Halifax, NS is gaining a franchise and that a new expansion franchise will be forming in Rochester, NY.
