Humphrey Coliseum serves as home court for Mississippi State Bulldogs basketball. Though the Bulldogs have fought through a few down years as of late, the experience still remains one of the best in the SEC. Though fans look back longingly on the 1996 Final Four appearance, fans continue to turn out in large numbers to make the atmosphere at The Hump one of the more intimidating venues across the country for opposing teams.
Trustmark Park is a state of the art minor league facility with general seating wrapping from left to right foul poles in the lower deck and suites with box seating in the upper deck and is home to the Mississippi Braves, AA affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
Magnolia Field is home to Delta Devil baseball on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University. The atmosphere at Magnolia Field is cozy and friendly. Most of the fans in attendance are family or friends of the players, with a couple of staunch Delta Devils Athletics supporters.
Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field, home to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, is an under-the-radar college baseball mid-major gem. While other stadiums across the country might provide more modern features like wild concession items and minor league antics, ‘The Pat’ provides a comfortable environment with the classic elements that provide a great neighborhood ballpark atmosphere.
Traveling through west Texas, when it seems all signs of life have disappeared and tumbleweeds really do blow, you’ll come upon the sprawling city of Lubbock. Fueled by wind energy, cotton fields, and the mini-economy of Texas Tech University, Lubbock is home to the United Spirit Arena and Red Raider basketball.
