Charleston Southern University is a Baptist affiliated school located in North Charleston, South Carolina. It is a relatively young school, as it was founded in 1964. Today it has grown to an enrollment of 3,459 students on its 300-acre campus. Tucked in the back of the small campus is their ballpark.
The athletic teams at Georgia State are known as the Panthers and play in the Sun Belt Conference. The baseball program got underway in 1958 and played in a variety of locations until the Georgia State Baseball Complex opened in 1986.
The athletic teams at USC Upstate are known as the Spartans and they compete in the Big South Conference of Division I NCAA basketball. The Spartans have only been at the Division I level since 2007. Other schools in the Big South Conference include Charleston Southern, Liberty, Winthrop, Presbyterian, Garner Webb, Radford and High Point.
When looking at Georgia Tech athletics, people tend to think of the school’s storied football program, or the two Final Fours achieved by the basketball program. However, the school’s most consistently winning program has been the Yellow Jacket Baseball program.
The Kennesaw State athletic teams are known as the Owls and are members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The baseball team calls the 1,200 seat Stillwell Baseball Stadium its home field.
